Spotlight On...How is health and social care going to get better in Walsall?
Healthwatch Walsall’s ‘Spotlight On’ briefings are an opportunity to hear from Walsall health and social care providers about topics that the public have highlighted to us as issues they are concerned about.
We have invited those providers to come and deliver briefings at our public meetings so that you, the public, have the opportunity to listen and then ask questions about any issues you are concerned about. Relating to the service in general or about specific parts in their presentations.
We recently held a very successful spotlight meeting in October, looking in to how health and social care is going to get integrated in Walsall. We had guest speakers give presentations which was a great opportunity for the local communities to gain a greater understanding of how services are going to change and to ask the people making the decisions questions of how and why. Professor Simon Brake and Dr Helen Hibbs, who gave presentations on the Walsall Together and Black Country STP respectively.
The spotlight was also an opportunity to engage with local services, and stalls were held by a number of voluntary organisations, support groups and public services.
