Walsall Council Mental Health Week

Walsall Council are supporting Mental Health Awareness Week (11–17 May) and would welcome your help in sharing key messages with your networks, communities, and staff - Walsall Council marks Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 | Walsall Council,

This year’s theme, “Take Action,” highlights how small, practical steps can make a meaningful difference to mental wellbeing—both individually and collectively.

We are encouraging residents to:

Take action for themselves by
Taking time to pause and recharge
Practising mindfulness or breathing techniques
Attending local activities or accessing support

Take action for others by:
Checking in with friends, family, and colleagues
Starting open conversations about mental health
Helping to reduce stigma and build supportive environments
